Dear Tom,
I’ve just arrived in Rome, but I’m still suffering from jet lag after a long and terrible flight. The security officer had mistakenly confiscated my baggage, and locked me in a room for one hour. It was very scary at first. I couldn’t stop crying, thinking that someone may have put illegal elements in my luggage. To add insult to injury, we took off two hours late because of bad weather. Despite taking off safely, the plane route was not easy; the weather did not help us whatsoever. Over the channel, the pilot announced that we had to fasten our seat belts, which was a bit horrifying, and for half an hour we flew through a terrible storm. Truth be told, I had butterflies in my stomach; I imagined I would never see the ground again. Due to the route problems, we had to stopover in Morocco, and wait a little. Due to the great mastery of his duties, the captain finally landed us in Rome. It was still a rainy and windy day when we landed. I was really glad to get off the plane and get into the airport building. All in all, this was the worst flight I have ever had.
Fortunately, things have improved since then, but I really hope the return flight hits the bullseye.
My best regards,
Daniela Pamela
